Our Story

Corporate Fitness Works began in the 1980’s with two women who shared a vision to create on-site fitness programs that foster optimum health.   More than 20 years later, this mission is still alive and flourishing.  With over 250 team members working at 40 sites across the country, Corporate Fitness Works is living proof that good health is good business.

Meet our founders:

Sheila Drohan has worked in the business of health and fitness since graduating in 1974 from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Health and Physical Education.  There she earned numerous honors, including membership in Delta Psi Kappa, the national physical education honorary society, and was named the Outstanding Alumnus for 2004.  In 1981, Sheila earned a Master’s degree in Public Administration with a Health emphasis from Rutgers University, graduating with honors.  An active Slippery Rock alum, Sheila serves on the president’s advisory board, the exercise science advisory board and students in the exercise science field have an opportunity to receive a scholarship established in her name.
Brenda Loube has devoted her life to fitness, health promotion and disease prevention.   She earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Physical Education from Towson State University in Maryland and a Master of Science in Physical Education with an emphasis in Cardiac Rehabilitation from the University of Wisconsin.  Brenda served as the Chair for the Maryland Advisory Council on Physical Fitness and serves on the boards of the International Association for Worksite Health Promotion, National Health and Fitness Association, and the Advisory Board for the International Council on Active Aging.  Brenda is a recipient of the Health Educator of the Year Award from the American Association for Health Education and the Dean’s award for the Department of Health professions from Towson University.
